Description:
The style known as "anti-folk," as realized by practitioners like Ani DiFranco and Billy Bragg, is derived from a punk aesthetic, and thus tends to be spare and confrontational. But while Regina Spektor's music is anti-folk in the way it subverts the traditional coffeehouse vibe, it's less interested in rebellion and more concerned with the joy of eccentricity, melody and surprise. Begin To Hope is full of surprises, and like her promising major label debut Soviet Kitsch, it displays an easy facility with song structure that enables her to go in different--sometimes wildly off-the-wall--directions without sounding scattered. Classically trained on the piano, she's been compared to Tori Amos, but her music isn't as delicate or precious. Fiona Apple comes up as well, but just because neither fits in the usual female singer/songwriter cookie cutter mold doesn't mean they sound the same. Her voice is actually the primary attraction, cracking and loopy on would-be lullabies like "On The Radio" and "Field Below," then punchy and cute on "Hotel Room." But the music, if understated in the mix next to her vocals, makes an impression as well, breaking in with twisty piano arpeggios ("20 Years of Snow") and occasional touches of electronica. It's a consistently intelligent and daring record, yet remains enormously listenable--a neat trick for anti-folk, or any other genre of music for that matter.

Jak jistě víte, Adobe s velkou slávou a pozorností médií vrhlo své produkty na trh v několika balíčcích, z nichž každý je určen pro trochu jinou cílovou skupinu uživatelů. Production Premium se bude snažit oslovit profesionály z oblasti postprodukce, zpracování videa, hudby a obrazu.
Production Premium se zaměřuje na video, hudbu, grafiku – postprodukci
Z výše zmíněného popisu tedy vyplývá, jaké bude složení jednotlivých aplikací v balíku Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium. Najdete v něm Adobe After Effects CS3 Professional, Adobe Premiere Pro CS3, Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended, Adobe Flash CS3 Professional, Adobe Illustrator CS3, Adobe Soundbooth CS3 a Adobe Encore CS3. Spíše jakýmsi doplňkem těchto aplikací jsou pak Adobe OnLocation CS3 a Adobe Ultra CS3 (pouze v balíku pro Windows).
Adobe Premiere Pro CS3
Adobe CS3 Production Premium obsahuje tedy výkonný grafický editor, nástroje pro zpracování videa a zvuku s možností exportu na web v podobě flashových animací. Tvorba webu je zde však spíše okrajovou záležitostí, flash se samozřejmě používá při tvorbě nejrůznějších multimediálních CD/DVD a jen logické, že je nabízen v balíku, který je zaměřen na práci s videem. Aby byl výčet aplikací v Production Premium kompletní, je třeba zmínit také Adobe Bridge CS3, Adobe Dynamic Link, Adobe Device Central CS3 a Adobe Acrobat Connect.
Užijte si pracovní pohodlí díky propojení aplikací
V Adobe se snažili, aby jednotlivé aplikace byly navzájem dokonale propojeny. Došlo tak k integraci programů, které Adobe získalo nákupem Macromedie (v tomto balíku Flash) do jednotného prostředí. Příkladem budiž snadná výměna vektorových animací mezi Flashem a After Effects. After Effects je také schopen dávkové tvorby souborů FLV. Podobného pohodlí se dočkáte ve spojení s Flashem a Illustratorem, Photoshopem a Premiere Pro a dalšími.

Vše je samozřejmě vykoupeno odpovídajícími hardwarovými nároky. Potřebovat budete procesor s výkonem Pentia 4 (1,4 GHz pro DV a 3,4 GHz výkonu pro zpracování HDV videa), 1 GB RAM jako naprosté minimum, 23,5 GB pro instalaci všech programů z balíku, rychlý disk, monitor s dostatečným rozlišením atd. Jelikož se bavíme o programech určených pro opravdové profesionály, nebude problém hardwarové nároky Adobe CS3 Production Premium splnit. Možná vás bude zajímat, že produkty nejsou k dispozici v 64bitové verzi. Nové Windows Vista jsou samozřejmě podporovány, stejně jako Mac OS X v.10.4.9.

Cenové hledisko také není nezanedbatelné. Předobjednávky je možné provádět v ceně 1 699 USD. Stejně jako u všech ostatních balíčku Creative Suite 3, i tato cena se bude zdát mnoha lidem vysoká. Je však třeba si uvědomit, že se bavíme o programovém vybavení určeném profesionálům do grafických studií, reklamních agentur a podobně. Pro domácí uživatele je tu Photoshop Elements a spol. za řádově nižší ceny.
